Short update on avalanches in Tirol
Tirol headquarters was informed about three avalanches with persons involved today, 23.02.2019: Ammerwald, vicinity of Plansee Avalanche in Ammerwald This was a glide-snow avalanche. Avalanches involving persons, one fatality. Cause: fresh snowdrifts and weak old snow.
At headquarters in Tirol today we were informed about 6 avalanches in which people were involved: Glorer Refuge and Marchkinkelle in East Tirol; Rettenbachferner Glacier, Serleskamm, Giggijoch and Hohe Mut in North Tirol.
